Innovative Product Design
As part of the “Transfer to Fashion” project in the Master's module Innovative Product Design, the objective is to rethink textile knitwear - provided by Karl Mayer - and to utilise it creatively in the fashion sector. The task includes the development of an innovative collection concept with a clear design idea and a defined requirements profile. The focus is on an experimental interpretation of materials and a progressive approach to product design that addresses the aesthetic needs and realities of a young, expressive target group. The resulting “Soft Escape” collection is a visual response to the overarching theme of paradise - interpreted as a state of freedom, lightness and inner detachment. Transparent, structured fabrics meet flexible constructions with lacings that allow for openness, change and physical proximity. The result is a creative field of tension between textile expression and technical precision - as a combination of design and industry. 'Soft Escape' invites you to question textile conventions and to rethink fashion as an expression of freedom, change and creative openness - an invitation to immerse yourself in an intermediate textile world in which construction and feeling, structure and lightness meet.
Creative Processing
As part of the master's module Creative Processing, a licensed knit collection is developed for a German brand without a textile reference. The basis of this work is the brand Dr. Oetker, with a particular focus on the cake mix product line as a source of creative inspiration. Based on a brand analysis, a creative concept is developed in which brand-specific values are translated into textile design and further developed in terms of design strategy.
